Marrying German malts and yeast with freshly picked hops honors the nuptials of Crown Prince Ludwig and Princess Therese. Their festivities sparked the advent of the Oktoberfest celebration in Munich. Auburn in color from the Munich malt, which provides a rich and distinctive aroma, Oktoberfresh starts malty but ends crisp and refreshing. Every year we select a hop from an Oregon hop farm partner for the fresh hop addition. 2018 featuring Hallertau hops from Goschie Farms. Prost!
- IPA - Session / India Session Ale
A super fresh and floral take on our Session IPA , loaded with fresh Centennial hops from Crosby Farms, picked a couple hours before they went into our fermenter. The malt starts with the famed Maris Otter malt from England, with Vienna, Munich, and Honey malt to add some nuttiness, light sweetness, and a creamy finish.
- Fruit Beer
A dialed up version of our Abacaxi (Uh-baka-shi ,Portuguese for Pineapple) Pineapple Hefe fresh hopped with Amarillo Hops from Crosby Farms. We upped the malt to give a bigger backbone for the fresh hops, making this more of a hoppy fruited wheat ale than the normal hefe. Base beer description: A fruity play on American Hefeweizen, a style pioneered by our neighbors across the river at Widmer. The malt for this beer is over 50% German Wheat for a very soft and quaffable finish. A large dose of Pineapple dances with Amarillo hops, which double down on the tropical vibes.
